Track Your Refund

If you have already filed your federal and/or state refund, you can easily track the status of your refund online. You will need the following information on hand to track your federal and/or state refund:

Social Security number
Filing status (single, married, married filing separate, etc.)
Spouse’s Social Security number (if applicable)
Refund amount you are expecting to receive in whole dollars

Federal Tax Refunds

When checking on your federal tax refund status, remember you are dealing with the Internal Revenue Service (IRS), so it is important to be patient. Most federal refunds are issued three weeks or so after filing, but that timeline is not guaranteed.
